I finally picked up a digital camera. It's a Fuji Finepix A340 - a 4 megapixel camera. Took it to Longwood gardens on Saturday; even though everything outdoors was pretty bare, got some excellent photos.

i have the same camera, and it does take some good photos! What kind of batteries are you using???? we are currently trying rechargeables, but they seem to drain REALLY fast!
April looks like a good month, Dawn is coming to cable on Starz! Now I can watch Dawn 636 times!

Same here, I'm using digital batteries. So far I've used the camera twice and have yet to resort to my backup pair. Then again, I don't keep the thing on all the time, only when taking a picture.
Your batteries will last longer if you don't rely on the LCD for lining up your shots. This consumes a lot of battery power.
Though on the more affordable cameras, it's like looking through an old Kodak Tourist camera. The view finder is not a true "SLR".
