Don LaFontaine, "that announcer guy from the movies" featured in the GEICO commercial, has died. He had a long career and voiced over 5,000 movie trailers, as well as other voice work. For more, read this article.

It's going to be weird going to the movies next year and not hearing his voice for the movie trailers, car commercials, and a myriad of other voice work that he would have done. The man made millions with his voice.
Agreed. I can't remember a movie trailer voice that memorable since Orson Wells.
